We Have More Than 40 Years of Experience!
Carol LaRue, DMD hails from a small town on the Mississippi River in Illinois. She graduated from Western Illinois (with highest honors) in 1982. She then graduated from Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine in 1987, again along the Mississippi River.
With a thirst for experience she joined the ARMY and completed a General Practice Residency while stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina in 1988. In Wuerzburg Germany, she practiced family dentistry for ARMY families. After the Gulf War in 1991, the ARMY brought her to Fort Hood and from there she completed her military career.
Today, she devotes some weekends to providing care to soldiers at Camp Mabry.
Her career has long been focused in family dentistry with employment at Castle Dental and Manos de Cristos Dental Clinic in Austin. She has practiced dental sleep medicine in a sleep lab with neurologists specialized in sleep medicine. On Wednesdays, Bell Springs Dental is closed, while she provides dental care to handicapped and geriatric patients in nursing homes.
Dr. LaRue has a diverse background with experience in oral surgery, endodontics (root canals), bridges, crowns, dentures, partials, geriatric dentistry, childrens dentistry, minimal sedation dentistry, craniofacial pain (TMD) and sleep apnea.
Gary Halm, DDS MAGD, comes to us by the way of Arlington, Texas where he practiced dentistry for 40 years. He was the founder of Arlington Dental where he emphasized cosmetic dentistry and invisalign orthodontics. His family has a 100 year history of ranching in the Henly area.
He graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Science, and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston with a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1972.
Dr. Halm received the prestigious mastership award from the Academy of General Dentistry, recognizing his commitment to excellence and dedication to staying current on innovations in dental care. The Mastership Award is the highest honor available in the AGD and one of the most respected designations in the profession. To accomplish this, Dr. Halm completed 1,100 hours of continuing dental education in the 16 disciplines of dentistry, including 400 hours of hands-on skills and techniques.
Dr. Halm provides Invisalign for adults and older teens. He is a certified Invisalign provider and has completed over 140 cases.
